The pianist

Have you ever experience being tortures before or discriminate? My entry this time is about the movie entitles “The Pianist”. The synopsis of this movie is about a Jew named Wadylslaw Szpilman struggles so hard to surviving during the Nazis came and grab over his land.

My first impression towards this movie is this movie is same like other sad movie like Paloh, Lefternan Adnan and Bukit Kepong which is an army based movie. Although I am totally didn’t understand Germany language but I still can predict what the movie was about. By assistance from my friend who had watched this movie there was no problem for me to get the abstraction.

From beginning the movie was a bit horizontal and it’s quite so so but in the middle the movie succeeds to grab my eyes attention. This is because I very interested by looking the scene whereby the Nazis tortured the innocent people. Not enough with it, they also simply murdered those who were against them.

The lesson that I’ve get from this movie is about Wladyslaw’s tenacity and loyalty that stick until last and not changes to keep surviving. It is really makes me proud and amazed. Other that, he also has ability and skillful in playing piano and I’m so astonishment for it.

For me, I’m not support and at the same time not against regarding what the German Nazis did to the Jews because I personally hate them so much. So no wonder the get it and they deserved it. All of their descendent are really coldhearted. The Jews were nothing inner but outer full of arrogance and snobbish. Why nowadays Nazis was not around anymore to give some memorable lesson to this pig-headed race that called Jews?

When bored, they play with it, they control it and when they lose interest, they throw it like it was a piece of junk. Like a master to its puppets.

A sense of satisfaction appeared when the Jews started to get back on their feet and fight back the Nazis to have their freedom back. Although, I still hated all the killing, but I was somehow proud of them for being able to stand again. Wladyslaw resumed back his life by playing the piano once again and things went back as they were before.

Fickle friend

Who is person that you will looking every time you have problem? Is it your family or friends? Or maybe your foes? Ok this week my article is about the interesting topic which is “Fickle Friends” written by Kirsten Weir.

Since we are born until we died we’ll keep befriending with people around us. Either we are the one who start the relationship or we are the one who end it but the common is friend will continue alternating.

After reed this article now only I knew that there was one kind of friend who called, “frenemies”.

Frenemies can be classified as a friend that at the same time is our enemies. They have two characteristic on one time. During in trouble, they would be with you to be your shoulder to cry on but the time you in peak of successful they will backstabs you and struggles to make you down. These types of friend must be avoiding and stay away.

It is so hard for us to choose those who are kind-hearted, gentleman, nice and good and totally impossible for us to filter their behavior one by one before we give our hand to start the friendship but we can changes it to be much better. From black to white and dark to bright.

Among of our friend, it is not possible for us to have frenemy. Maybe this moment we are mingling with them, eat together, stay together and cry together but who knows in black side she or he actually is thinking about the plan how to make fool with us or is waiting for the best chance to down us. So be careful! 

To suspect also not a easy things. That is because we will easily feel sympathy and fall in love with someone. So at that time we are shadowing by the glory moment and we will look everybody nice in our naked eyes. So this is the chance for frenemy to take out their deception and attack us from behind without or we are notice it.

Tin tin

My next post was about the movie entitle which is called "The Adventures of Tintin". A movie directed by Steven Spielberg. The movie is about a young boy named Tintin who also a young journalist who faced many challenges and difficulty after he bought a model of toy ship that was called as "Unicorn". The story begins when the ship seems very valuable for two men who came up to him and offered him a higher price for the ship but he refused to sell it. Since that moment, his life was in chaotic because two men are always following him wherever he goes.

Because of his refusal, he was kidnapped by the one who are after the model ship named Villains.

Fortunately not long after that, he managed to escape together with captain Haddock. Haddock has ancestor named Sir Francis Haddock who also was a captain of Unicorn around 17th century.

While on an adventure, they need to crack the puzzle that Haddock's ancestor had left in that toy model ship and lastly this have give them some clue to led Sir Francis Haddock's treasures.

During this movie was viewed, my brain need to thinks deeply and gave the all attention toward the chronology of the story whereby it force my mind to think what happen on the next and I always wondering is it possible for Tintin to rescued and escape from the two men who keep after him. 

I also grab the chance to solve what the puzzles and riddles were.

In addition, while in serious, there were also several humor scenes that make me and my fellow classmates loud of laugh. From the quality of the movie, I can gives 4 stars because the graphics and the actor were look real even though it is a cartoon movie.

Jack the ripper

My post today is about one serial of murder that took place in East End of London around 1888s called “Jack The Ripper”. I don’t know why but until the moment this post was written I still feel so proud and happy because for yesterday class I was given a big responsible and opportunity to become a defender for the suspect in that serial killing named James Kelly. A little bit about him, He is an illegitimate son of a single mother, Sarah Kelly and raised by his grandmother, Teresa.

His background a bit blemish because he had killed his wife Sarah Brider by stabbed in the neck in 1883. He also discovered that he had some venereal disease and paranoid schizophrenic. Other that, I’m so proud with myself because I manages to delivered my point fluently in front of my fellow friend and my lecturer, Madam Zalinda. Even the defender team had lost in that case but its ok. At least we had all out to win it and during my turn to point the evidence, I got big claps from my fellow friend.

Back to the abstraction of this murder case, it is unfinished case until today. Identity of murder is unknown until today. Even over one hundred suspects have been proposed and many theories have been advanced but the culprit still free. Based on the London Metropolitan Police Service record, the method of Jack The Ripper in killing the victims is deep throat slashes, abdominal and genital-area mutilation, removal of internal organ and progressive facial mutilation. 

 

All of the victims are prostitutes. Even though there were more than 29 suspects entirely but the most suspected based on the theory is James Kelly. This is based on the four factors that is culprit’s death, imprisonment, institutionalisation or emigration. Kelly has all of it. Vice versa, there are some contradiction regarding the killing method and until today this case still becoming mystery.

The Great Debaters

Debate is one of my hobbies. I love debate especially for critical issues like criminal. Why I am suddenly talked about debate? This is because for this time, I’m decided to post about one interesting movie that I’ve watched which entitle “The Great Debaters” that is directed by Denzel Washington and produced by Oprah Winfrey’s production.

Abstraction of the movie is about an effort of a debate coach and also a teacher named Melvin B. Tolson to put his debate team which including of James, Samantha, Henry and Hamilton with same level like the Whites in South American during the 1930s.

First time I looked at this movie I can found that the Black in South American need to struggles in every single of matters even in school they have to compete each other to becoming the best among the best. Other interesting scene of this movie is the way how these students debated.

They managed to facts and general knowledge by using the words and make it convincing and believable. The reality is in America racism issues is endless. The Whites are given best treatment and clean image while Blacks are given bad treatment and always left behind.

In this movie also consisted lot of racism and stereotyping scene whereby make me wondering what happen actually in their country and where is the humanism? One thing that makes me proud is about the unity among Black in every difficulty that they facing as example during Melvin B. Tolson were arrested by White police. All the Black was rally outside of the police station in term of to set him free and the victory on their side.

In my piece of mind, racism and stereotyping is just for cowardice because they are hidden in the bright. They always get the best treatment and a bunch of compliment but in reality they are same with the other people. No more no less.
